Hola! That’s what you say after a trip to Puerto Rico, beautiful island and some of the friendliest people I have ever met. I know there has been a long break in my posting schedules last two plus months but I am alive and breathing. I am sorry for this absence, hope I will be back on track with getting you some delicious baked goods, right in time for your holiday baking. I am in that period of life where you do a major overhaul in life (in my case making a move to NYC, all about it later). Blondies!!! Yes it gets the name from beautiful blondes just because it doesn’t have cocoa powder like regular brownies do. I have never made brownies and blondies from scratch so this was quite exciting. I know what are you thinking that I haven’t baked a simple brownie? It is weird, it was always on my to do list but never got around making some. So you can expect a brownie recipe soon! As some of you might already know I am an unswerving coffee drinker or if not coffee than Chai with buttload of freshly grated ginger. I like my coffee simple no-nonsense stuff and not any of those sugary concoctions like frappes. But when it comes to drinking anything with flavor mocha is my only pick. Who likes a shortbread? (Hint: me, me, me), who can eat 10 in a single sitting (you get my point right?) A shortbread cookies which has a Scottish roots is a simple butter cookie which is already a perfect bite, so why change something which is quintessentially flawless? Well just to add a more complex flavors and give it more of an adult taste. And just in case if you are wondering whether I ate the raw cookie dough then yes of course!
