Candied pecans are great addition to any salads, yogurt, ice cream or your morning oatmeal. They are great for snacking too. They are great for gifting or put them in care package of your loved ones.
Recipe from Bouchon Bakery
Makes: 5.5 cups
500 grams/ 4 1/2 cups pecans
115 grams/ 1/2 cup sugar
30 grams/ 2 tablespoons water
1. Preheat the oven to 325°F.
2. Arrange pecans in parchment lined baking sheet. Place in oven to toast.
After 5 minutes, start heating sugar and water in a large pan over medium heat.
3. Take care not to change the color of sugar. Once sugar melts add the pecans and stir continuously until they have a white crystallized appearance.
4. Transfer to a plate and cool completely.
